In the spring of 1979, as a young teenager I chose to leave the city lights behind for a life among Arabian horses and farm activities.
I was enchanted with the horses of Marbling Arabians, the beauty and peace of the countryside around Arthur River in Western Australia.
The founder and inspiration behind Marbling Arabians, Mrs Nola Cameron had a particular admiration for the Arabian mare Silver Fire, her sire Naseem and grandsire Skowronek. She set about to breed a family of Arabians true in likeness and steeped in the blood of their Silver ancestors.
Naasser the remarkable son of Naadirah (Aswan x Napraslina) and Mustafa (Hadban Enzari x Masarrah) was purchased as an outcross Stallion for the stud. Naasser was the perfect outcross for Marbling. Marbling Arabians has consistently produced horses of great beauty and power, race winners, impressive endurance horses, flamboyant halter horses and gentle pleasure horses, all with a familiar look, known in Western Australia as the Marbling look.
There comes a time when life must end and in February 2018 Mrs Cameron left us. Although I have had the Arabian reins for some time, it is official, the horses of Marbling Arabians are now in my care.
Together with my husband Kim, we will guide the stud through the next generations under the banner of Mattilda Arabians.
