Our Story

Time has slipped by at an incredible pace as we move forward into our sixth year of operating under the banner of Mattida Arabians. The last five years have been a building phase for the stud, with the stabilization of some of the mare families and a new generation of outcross horses starting their breeding careers. A time for quiet observation and consideration of all the horses in the stud.

After the 21/22 and 2023 foaling season I believe we have a complementary herd of young females by Marbling Nur (Naasser x Marbling Nicole), Marbling Lutana (Marbling Nafara x Marbling Priscilla), Marbling Padulla (Ralvon Pilot x Marbling Penelope). Including our current brood mares by Marbling Star of the East (Naasser x Princess Akarna), Marbling Nemo (Naasser x Marbling Nicole) and Ralvon Pilot (Ralvon Pilgrim x Cathay) to go forward with.

As with the mares, we withheld a small selection of young males all out of the very best of the Marbling and outcross mares, this has proven to be an invaluable decision, widening our capacity for decision making for the future.

The mares from this breeding program have been sort after and held in high esteem throughout the world for many decades. One of my personal undertakings have been to show just how complementary and effective our Stallions are over a wide range of outcross mares, but more about that in the future…
